The Aida women’s short boot is all you need this winter to keep your feet cosy. The premium quality suede leather upper lined with luxuriously soft 100% pure Merino shearling takes this classic boot to a whole new level. A perfect all-rounder. All SHEPHY slippers are lined with the finest quality Merino shearling from Australia and New Zealand. The extremely fine fibres of Merino shearling are much softer to the touch than the coarser fibres of other breeds of sheep. In contrast to cheaper synthetic sheepskin, Merino wool can absorb moisture vapour and unpleasant odour molecules and will keep your feet dry and comfortable all day. It also promotes excellent temperature regulation; your feet will stay warm and cosy in cold weather and not feel sweaty when too hot. The only thing uncomfortable about SHEPHY slippers is not wearing them!

  1. The Cosmic Whelk

How I wish I could give these five stars. However, (having only had them a couple of days) I’ve noticed a bald bit, over the heel on the INSIDE, which is not covered by the wool. This is on both boots, so it’s a manufacturing fault. Since the heel is one place where you need padding, this is a fault I can’t ignore. When the wool packs down a bit I shall add insoles, but till then – down to four stars, because they are certainly snuggly, and wonderfully warm on the ankles, and the fit is good. I didn’t realise, though, that the outer is cowhide not sheepskin – so it’s rather inflexible; however, it’ll probably last better than sheepskin. Overall, good boots – but with the reservation that the woollen inners could have been made a lot more carefully.
